Hi curious.
There are schemes out there that aren't affected by age, quals or experience that can work for you.
What you need to do is find a list of local government funded or self fund with the right qualification gained at the end of the training to get you set up in your own business.
There are schemes that promise you city & guild level quals, but actually they're not, so the best thing to do is a little local research, find out what one offers above another, what they'll charge for the course, then ring a few local plumbers and ask them what they actually need from a prospective employee to at least consider them for a job.
That will be cast iron for you. If the company you really want to work for/aspire to better, wants ?? as a minimum qualification, then you know that's what to aim for.
Look for the best training site for yourself there-after.
Depending on your circumstances, funding could be available.
Above all, good luck hunny........I hope you get the result you want and I hope I've been a bit of help. x

Depends on where you live. If there is a Plumbers Union close your best bet is to talk to them because they would be more willing to give you a shot. If not you may have to start at the bottom of some company, like digging ditches and stuff.
