It very well could be that the oil pressure sensor is bad or that the oil pump is bad. The ECM looks for a signal from the oil pressure sensor (or switch) and if it does not receive it within a couple of seconds after ignition it will shut the engine off. Have you checked for trouble codes stored in your ECM?

I am wondering why you didnt change the fuel filter because water in the fuel can cause the same symptom. Fuel filters are made of a material that absorbs and allows gasoline to pass through it. If you get a slug of bad gas (an excellent reason to buy branded gasoline from a known oil company) it could be plugging the filter as soon as the fuel starts flowing to the engine. Another thing to check would be the fuel pressure regulator. If this compnent goes bad then your system may not be building enough pressure to inject the fuel into the engine.

GM had bad ignition switches for several years in the late 90's and on into the 2000's. After the vehicle starts and dies, check the hot wire's coming from the ignition to see if they are live with power or not.

The switch, and not the key and tumbler is most likely the problem.
