Well there's nothing wrong with being manipulative if you want to get ahead in life, right? (sarc.)
But Kant said never use a person as a means to an end but always as an end
Death is rather stoic.
Happiness is better found in NOT thinking. NOT understanding. Human nature is to eat the last piece of bread. The nature of a saint is to refuse the bread if there's only one piece left. The nature of a communist is to split it in half.

Well,
first what are your motives?
How will knowing human nature help your happiness?
If you are studying human nature, is it possible that your own human nature could interfere?
Is it possible human nature is the real reasoning behind this, not the pursuit of happiness?
Well
I actually think it is a splendid idea. How would i go about suggesting it? Well people are attracted to kindness. So if you are using human nature against them....? WOW that was confusing. sorry. Ne-way cut chase to the point, knowing and understanding people and thier weaknesses is one thing, but using it against them is another! If you are trying to munipulate the nature of humans i would say that is quite hard if you are human, its immpossible! But knowing humans will not only help others such as counseling but also can help yourself to know your nature. Yes human nature is the same in the long run, but you have to remember persons with personality and experience may not react to same situations and manners they way other persons may!
NE way, go for it as long as it helps yourself!
And remember, you are only human!
p.s definitly consider a counselor, it's there job to know people, and NO you won't be a munipulative robot. I actually practice a litlle of my own!

To understand human nature is to understand ourselves; self awareness may or may not lead to happiness, but isn't it better to be aware than not? The paths to understanding are many; there is no right or wrong starting point. In the end it is probably the process which matters the most - the journey rather than the destination.

Probably not. You're NOT going to find happiness externally. It's going to take a series of seemingly unrelated elements & circumstanses within YOU- that's going to connect with another person to bring it about. So stop trying to "manipulate" your social environment... -You're just slowing the process down by getting in the way of your dreams... Open your heart to the possibilities, and use your mind to observe, appreciate & explore. Good luck!

worth pursuing? yes. worth pursuing for happiness? god i hope not.
understanding, or should i say TRYING to understand human nature can be a glorious thing to do, even if it is as simple as people watching. but, no one will ever completely understand human nature because every humans basic nature is entirely different. no two people now, or ever in history, have thought or behaved exactly the same way so to say that understanding human nature is the key to our happiness, is to say, basically, that we will never be happy. and i refuse to believe that.
but pursue it of course! and have fun doing so. that fact alone that you are trying to pursue it and further enlighten your mind should make you happy. hell it makes me happy! :)

people are persons biologically. We bypass for the time of the entire life cycle as diverse instruments (aside from a quick degree in reproductive technique). meaning we glance after ourselves and our families, and compete with one yet another for factors. yet we additionally are quasi-social: we don't usually stay as hermits yet have difficult social lives. Our social nature, besides to our more suitable intelligence, is extremely significant. it relatively is the source of all our maximum stunning achievements: shape, IT, technologies, all our mass/team initiatives. None of those are available by utilising persons performing on my own. they're basically made conceivable by utilising subverting our individual nature to a standard purpose. This dichotomy of our individual and team id is the source of diverse our issues and confusions, besides as being our maximum extreme asset. It defines our nature.

The phrase ignorance is bliss comes to mind....i devoted myself to a similiar persuit only to find that seeking to understand human nature and experience only embitters you to the cold reality that humans are flawed imperfect beings....our only hope is to find something to hope for and to live in peace and quiet

It all depends on who you want to emulate. Personally, I find it much easier to simply be myself. Understanding gives you knowledge, not necessarily happiness. That has to come from within you, and you alone.
