In your response, identify and discuss a counter-argument for each of these arguments:



· If businesses expand their employees’ opportunities to telecommute, they will increase employee productivity, decrease employee burnout and operational overhead costs, and improve their community by cutting down on traffic and pollution.




· Violent video games promote violent behavior in children and since efforts to prevent children from getting access to them have failed, they should be banned.




Then discuss how each author could address these counter-arguments in their essays. Your response should be in complete sentences and paragraphs and 200-300 words in length.

telecommuting opens up the company files to hackers and extra viruses on peoples personal computers, it is easier for dishonest employees to steal data, it can decrease employee production due to lying about amounts of time spent on a project and no direct supervision, the company would have to supply state of the art computers to employees for work and home. Community sales would go down as "impulse purchases on the way home " would decrease, gas consumption would decrease possibly raising prices.

Violent video game have not been proven to promote violent behavior, they have been used as a legal excuse that is without warrant. Parents need to monitor their children , which is the only way to regulate it, the computer is not a baby sitter. There is freedom of speech , including for adults , if an adult chooses to play a video game, violent or not it is their right. We cannot judge value without infringing on constitutional rights.
