What code do I enter to make my Dish satellite remote work with my television?

I need to re-enter the code, but my television brand is not listed in the user book. I know the remote has to work with my television, because I've used it in the past. Is there a code you can enter if your television is not listed that will make the remote work with it?

My television is "Durabrand."

if the code is not listed you will need to call your tv manufacturer and see if they have one. Usually they can give you a list of other brand codes to try.

If they don't have one then you can try using the manual code search feature (read your owners manual for your remote, you may or may not have this feature).

I suggest that onece you find it you write it on a small piece of paper and tape it to the bottom of the remote. the tape keeps the numbers from rubbing off.

If that doesn't work you're screwed.

Try 500. That's a generic one that usually works with off brand TVs.
