Your condition sounds like hirsutism. Hirsutism is caused by hyperandrogenic hormone levels. Usually your testosterone level will be elevated. You can see a gynecologist if you have other conditions like irregular menses, acne, weight gain, etc. which is usually classified as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCO or PCOS) If you only have the hair growth condition, than maybe your doctor will just send you to an endocrinologist.
Diane 35 works well for people looking to regulate their menstrual cycles, minimize their acne and lower their androgen levels due to PCOS. It will also work as contraception but is usually only indicated to treat the above conditions. Check with your doctor and see what is best recommended for you.
Good luck!

An endocrinologist.
It sounds like your thyroid gland may not be producing enough hormone. A blood test will tell.
The first blood test can be done by any doctor...but the specialist is an endocrinologist.

An endocrinologist. It sounds like your thyroid gland could no longer be generating sufficient hormone. A blood attempt will tell. the 1st blood attempt could nicely be accomplished via any scientific expert...however the expert is an endocrinologist.

You can go two ways with this one. A gynecologist will likely suggest hormone therapy.
An endocrinologist may take another route entirely. Good luck.

well if you are talking about hormonal problem you should refer to an endocrinologist. however if you are more suffereing from trouble in your periods i think it will be better to see your Ob/Gyn. in all cases if your problem is a change in the rythm of the period and you are having over growth of curly hair in unusal locations you might have a "polycystic ovary disease". in all cases check it with you physician.
