Or at least get an idea of what a words a medical terminology course would teach. I'm a nurse and would like to apply for a job that requires medical terminology. I'm sure that I would meet the requirements without having the certificate. I'm just wondering what exactly is taught in the medical terminology courses to compair to my own knowledge? Is there somewhere online that gives and outline of medical terms taught in these kinds of courses?

I know I took a course in college called medical terminology for speech-langauge pathology. Most schools that have a nursing program or allied health school should have one. Check out a local community college or community enrichment program. If you have no luck there head to the library! Good luck!

It's hard work and the hardest part is understanding what the doctors are saying and then trying to make it make sense. You won't get rich doing this work and you will work a ton of hours each week. I work about 14 hours a day.
