There is infant toothpaste in stores, never give a baby adult toothpaste, because you aren't supposed to swallow adult toothpaste...
Hope that helps!

NO this NOT recommended. You can clean the gums with plain water and a finger brush or special gum cleaner for babies that doesn't contail fluoride. It is very harmful or even fatal if swallowed so fluoride toothpaste should only be used when the child is old enough to spit it out.

NO flouride!! Just use a soft washcloth until the baby has teeth. Then use a baby toothbrush and toothpaste that is flouride free. Start flouride only when your dentist says its ok...usually by the time the child can understand how to spit out the toothpaste.

no...not with floride...you should just use a clean cloth and warm water to wipe off the gums...when your baby starts getting some teeth then you can move on to a soft bristled brush and a non fluoride toothpaste. don't use floride toothpaste until your child is old enough to know he/she needs to spit.

Do not put any fluoride on your baby's mouth or in your mouth for that matter. The dentists will not tell you, but this stuff is not good for you. Do a Google search on the dangers of using fluroride and get the book, "Cures They Don't Want You To Know About."

No. We are encouraged to get the baby used to the toothbrush before teeth come in. Brushing their gums can be good for teething as it stimulates the blood flow
