I'm 13 weeks along with baby number four and all my hair is falling out, litterally handfuls in the shower......is this normal? I have three girls and I'm certain I would remember my hair falling out at this rate. I'm concerned, should I be?

Its normal, its part of the hormones. Every pregnancy is different, and your body produces and reacts differently to the hormone levels.

Unhealthy hair and nails can be a sign of nutrients needed, but generally hair loss is hormone related and common.

Most women go through it AFTER birth, although a first ammount do while pregnant.

Ask your doctor if you should be concerned in your particular situation. Although is doubtful.

With this being your 4th i dont need to tell you that every pregnancy is different. Hair loss is normal and with pregnancy anything is to be expected. Try your doctor but dont blow dry your hair let it dry natrually as the hormone changes make your hair either more dry or greasy

I'd definitely call your OB about this immediately. It doesn't seem normal at all, especially if you're taking your prenatal vitamins, which makes your hair stronger and thicker. Good luck!
