They remember when the Post told lies about Nixon and Watergate. What? They weren't lies? Well dam!

Is anyone else starting to feel like republicans and democrats make the exact same arguments against each other?

Everyone has a bias. There is no such thing as non-biased. Fox News is traditionally conservative in nature and CNN is the exact opposite. If you don't believe me and say "the facts are just the facts" consider which facts are being presented. Can there not be a bias in a simple omission of facts? Or perhaps in which facts to present?

All networks make a half hearted attempt to show the "other side" but end up simply attacking straw men.

In the end, ALL networks are out to make a profit. They will out on TV the "facts" that draw the biggest audience. This is precisely how fox news was born. It saw a vacum in the conservative media market and moved in to fill it. This doesn't say anything about the credibility of fox news over cnn it simply states the reason for it's existence.

If you're going to ever "think for yourself" you're just going to have to watch both sides and ask yourself, which do you feel is more true. Most likely you've already done that without realizing it. Most people have. You only need to look at the answers above.

Because the WaPo has been generally biased leftward for quite a while. Lately, it's been a bit more balanced, so it isn't the retarded fish-monkey left of the NY Times or Boston Globe.

You see, we acknowledge and understand the concept of human nature that says when you have a newsroom that averages 90% Democrat voters, the news will tend to be biased towards one side politically.

And that has been reflected in the favorable / unfavorable report counts between Republican and Democrat candidates (significantly more favorable reports for Democrats and more unfavorable reports for Republicans), the use of "right-wing" and "controversial" to describe Republicans more than use of "left-wing" or "controversial" for Democrats, etc.

We also know the slant we'll get from Hannity and Fox, etc. But why do you fail to acknowledge the slant from the rest of the media? Why don't you question it? Why don't you demand a rigorous objectivity?

It's the same mentality as when conservatives call judges "activist" because they make rulings that don't agree with their line of thinking. Do conservatives think Fox is unbiased? It's documented that Rupert Murdoch has purposefully twisted facts to support his political agenda. Is that truly news? I don't call it "Fox News" because I feel it is an oxymoron like the term "jumbo shrimp."

Depends on what they are talking about. If there is an article in the Post that deserves to be scoffed at. We scoff at it.

There is a bigger dangerous agenda in listening only to Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter.

As a conservative I can say, at least for myself, that I don't scoff at the Post, nor do I read it

Associated Press is what I read

Because the Post is not an objective news source. It's the daily press release of the DNC.

Lol dont blame them they have been brainwashed by one of the big lies. These poor souls believe the media is liberally biased so they dont believe anything it tells them, unless it paints Bush and Co in a good light.

Because they omit details so that they can put a particular spin on the story.

Omissions are the same as lying. The press should just report the facts... Not create the news.
