Yes, it is. I am in the same field as him and can attest to the veracity of his input. However, he can be too abrasive and "cut and dry" which undermines his credibility somewhat.

He's a moron pandering to even bigger morons. Is his advice legit? Why not? It's like a horoscope: Phrase everything in generalities and you'll never be wrong. I can't believe people watch this sort of garbage. I guess Dr. Phil is a step up from Geraldo Rivera and his ilk, but not by much.

I suppose like all Human beings he is wrong sometimes, but I haven't heard it yet. BTW to some people upstairs, what I have seen is that he tells people what is REALLY going on, NOT what they want to hear. I think he genuinely cares about people and tries to get them to do the right thing. For those people upstairs who said they don't like him, you certainly can like or dislike who you want. But I wish one of you would give me a SPECIFIC EXAMPLE of something he has said or done that was wrong or unhelpful

He's advice tends to thread on the conservative side. I believe he gives very good advice and find myself agreeing with many of the things he tells people on his show. I'd like to think of myself as very well-balanced as far as life goes so it's worked for me!

Dr. Phil is an idoit. His advice is given because it fits the hearer. Basically: he says what he knows you want to hear.

I think he helps. They did give him his own TV show. I don't think they would give a show to someone that wasn't trully helping people.
