I love the book "What to Eat While You're Expecting" because it has great ideas and recipes, although I don't think ANYONE can eat as perfectly as they want you to! Anything can be made healthier depending on what you do with it - for instance they have those whole wheat pizzas now, and they are really yummy, and pretty good for you- calcium, whole grains, and vegetables...

Eat lots of fruits, vegitables, whole grains, meats, nuts, and lots of dairy. Stay away from fried foods-they tend to upset the stomach. Start taking a prenatal vitamin. There is a great nutritional book for pregnant women with great recipes called "Eating Well When You're Expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. There is a list of fish you are not supposed to eat including fresh tuna. Do not eat soft cheeses. Do not eat hot dogs or deli meats unless cooked to steaming hot. Do not eat any raw meats or fish such as sushi and no raw eggs (no eating that cookie dough)! You can find a list by googling it.

Good luck for a healthy pregnancy.

make sure you eat a lot of vegetable and fruits every day. orange juice has a lot of Vitamin C, which is very healthy as well. and try to drink a lot of milk. fiber whcih can be found in bread is really important and good for you, so make sure you get that.

Fresh bright colored fruits and veggies, lean meats, and whole grains. The same healthy foods that are good for everyone else.

Lots of water, lots of fruits and veggies (not canned veggies & fruits mind you), protein, and spinach (has lots of iron), apples and oatlmeal (has lots of fiber), try to stay away from prcessed foods like boxed foods, frozen foods, fast foods, doughnuts, etc. They have no nutritional value, and they can make you constipated, hv high cholesterol, etc. Good luck!
