I know this is a deep question, but why do we have to die.

I mean I enjoy life and really don't want to think about leaving everything behind.

If things never ended then they would not be special or have any purpose.

For example, if you celebrated your birthday everyday in order you celebrate the fact that you are alive it would lose it's purpose. It would become monotonous, pointless.

The world would carry on and lose any sense of consequences because we would always be alive and there would always be more time to mend things.

Then, if you should believe, there would be no afterlife in order to be judged as we would all live forever. If there were no consequences for your actions ie punishment or reward, then people would probably care less. You would (hopefully) think twice about doing 40 down a 30mph road. Why? Because there are laws against it and you would be punished by the police. If you knew that there were no cameras don't you speed a bit because you don't think you will be caught?

At the end of the day, there is no way to stop the enevitable, death is one of lifes few certainities. As i have also learned, as i have fallen into the same trap, sitting around worrying about it isn't going to stop it. All we can do is make sure that we will live on in people's memories when we are physically gone. I want to be remembered for helping others, doing good deeds and then that way i can live on in a different way.

best of luck Midget xxxxxxxxxx

We would never really be alive if we never died.
To live is to die.
Human beings are procrastinators at heart. IF you lived forever, you'd never get anything done. "Oh, I have till enternity, I'll do it tomorrow"
I mean, take your inevitable death for example. The majority of people, if ever apporoached by "the Grim Reaper", after a long argument of how they don't want to die, would eventually accept the fact that they will die. "But not tomorrow"

Another point; Imagine four worlds;
1. No one dies.
2. No one is born.
3. No one dies or is born.
4. Our world.

Problems with these worlds.
1. Hitler would still be alive (for example). Secondly, death ends suffering. Imagine the worst torture ever. At least you'll die eventually. That suffereing can never go on forever. Death is the final release, a fail safe for all life. Also; The Old would rule the earth. The people born before you would be your masters. You could never replace the people before . So by our generation, say 100,000 years into human existence, there would be hardly any social evolution. WE would still be acting like cavemen, as they'd still be around. Plus, Earth only has limited space for everybody.
2. No social evolution. There is only a limited amount of people, brought into existence in some sort of judeo-christian idea (i.e. Genesis; God makes u out of dirt, thats it no one after that) Life would be boring after a while (luckily this only lasts a life-time) Plus, the world would be short lived as everyone dies out, leaving the world empty.
3. A mixture of problems from1 & 2. Mainly, lack of social evolution. Plus, imagine how boring life would be. eventually everybody would have met everybody. Eventually everyone will crave death to end the amazingly boring existence!
4. The only world that works. People must be born, & sadly, they must die.

Hope that answers your question.

Well its definitely not natural nor is it really normal, although to us it seems to be right now. It's not what God intended, how he purposed life to be for us. If Adam and Eve wouldn't have sinned then we'd all be perfect and living in a beautiful paradise, problem free. How wonderful that would be!! But b/c they sinned and we are there eventuall offspring, we inherited sin, and the downfall of that is that it equals death. But it won't always be like that. The Bible holds a beautiful and wonderful promise! Which is much looked forward to. Don't want to sound like I'm preaching to you, it's just my take of what I've learned in the Bible. That's all.

Nothing lasts forever. We die in my opinion cos we have lived a full life and it is time to go to a better place up above or either that we have wasted our lives and not done things better/wiser/more enjoyable. I think earth is kind of a test.

That is the only way we can meet our maker(Allah/God). We Were only meant to be on earth for a short time. We need to live simply and by the rules and remember we will leave everything behind except our good deeds - which we will take with us...

One of the many areas of philosophy is metaphysics. Metaphysically speaking one does not die. The divine center of each individual is spirit and is eternal.
Leaving THINGS behind is of no significance. Those entities you leave here you will reunite with when they migrate to your side of the eternal curtain.

Just as being born here on Earth, you must die to reach the higher plane of rebirth. Birth is terminal. "Someone Dies, a Baby Cries". Read the 23rd Psalm and fear not. Death is not the end, but the beginning.

No, I think this is a very shallow question. We have to die because we were made to die. From the time we were born, death was inevitable. Isn't death what makes life so exciting? If life was eternal it would've been so boring.

The reason why we have to die is basically the answer to why we live in the first place... the meaning of life.. life is a journey.. and where we go when we die and why we die is the reason of why we live...

that is a question that no one will ever have the right answer. it is life we are born we live then we die. if nobody did die do you realize how populated this earth would be. i think that everyone should die of old age and nothing else. it would be a dream if no one ever died b/c of murder or some bad sickness. good question..
