I think this is a good opportunity for you to help others in need- volunteer in a soup kitchen- make new friends, and give. Enjoy by giving to others and be thankful for what you do have. Maybe get together with friends? It does not have to be turkey for dinner to be Thanksgiving it can be anything as long as you are around people that love you and care for you! Best of luck!!

There are a lot of events for Thanksgiving orphans - in L.A. you can go to the Laugh Factory (recently in the news!) for a turkey dinner & comedy. Or you could volunteer at a shelter - give out turkey & have some yourself, too....The internet is great source of lots of info - do a little research & I am sure you can find something & somewhere to go to share the day.

I know people at my church who go to homeless shelters and help serve the turkey and you get to eat and everything. That said it was really nice, maybe you'd enjoy that. You can help out others while also enjoying yourself.
