I think Spell check could be used more often.
I just get tired of those who spell like they speak "Wut" "Dawg" "Dis" "Dat" etc

I have a question for you. Why do you feel the need to glorify the fact that you don't always spell everything correctly? Typos can be made and that's understandable, but why wallow in something that can only make you look bad? Why aren't you making more of an effort to spell things correctly?

Because a lot of times, the solution to the problem is better communication.
Poor spelling or poor word choice is an indicator of poor communication skills. Sure, you could be a bad typist, and I sometimes miss keys so letters are dropped.
However, using there instead of their or other usage mistakes indicate a weakness in communication. Since relationship issues are often rooted in communication, it's a very important item to consider.
If one is lazy with his spelling, what else is he letting slide? His marriage?

Actually, it hurts my eyes to read what some people write. They don't use punctuation, they shorten words and they don't use the spell check.
I've worked in the professional field for many years and what you write is considered a reflection of your education and professionalism. I can't help but notice when there are errors on the postings.

It depends on what you're writing...since your not physically present we only have the words and grammer to determine your actual meaning. If you what your writing is fairly short and straightforward (like your question), then it really doesn't matter that much, and they probably just get off on that kind of thing. If what you're writing is a bit more complex, then accurate spelling, word use, and grammer make a large difference.

Because the idea is that the person who asked a question may benefit from knowing the correct spelling of the word. I personally don't think it's "so what" when half of the damn country can't speak or write their own language (and no, English is NOT my first language).

I think that most people who point out your spelling mistakes are appalled that you didn't click "check spelling" before posting your question. Grammatical mistakes and poor spelling makes the questioner appear to be lazy and/or stupid. It's nice that people are trying to get you to raise your personal standards. You might want to heed their "corrections" and start improving your writing skills. If your writing improves, so will your credibility.

If you want serious answers, you better post well written questions - otherwise you are deemed dumb or 12 yrs old. Get with the program. Oh, and by the way you spelled THEIR wrong.

No. What makes us civil is our ability to communicate properly. Thus, one must be compelled to write and spell properly. Especially when Yahoo provides a spell check.

Maybe because they don't know how to answer the question properly and they get 2 points for each answer no matter what they type.
Or maybe they are just anal!
