Well, it depends on your degree. I'm a political science major and I have to have around 136. Plus, you have to have a minor, which is included in the 136 I stated earlier. I was a little confused about this when I first started college....say you take a history class, it will be 3 hours. Which means you will be in that class 3 hours a week. If you know what college you want to go to, I would advise talking to someone in the admissions, etc. Also, go on their website and look around. Science classes are usually 4 hours...3 hours for lecture and 1 hour for lab. Good luck. You will love college!

It depends on each student. A full time student is, last time I checked, 12 credit hours per semester. Anything over 15 credit hours is considered over full time. With a full time load of 12-15 hours of class a week 5-7 classes is probably a fair guess at how many classes you'd take a semester.

Well it depends on what you're going to study. For me, I have to get 120 credits by the end of my senior year- - which means about 40 classes in 4 years (5 classes per semester with 2 semesters per year --fall and spring semester).
Hope this helps!

12 credits is full time, thats about 4 classes
It now takes 4-5-6 years to get a Bachelors degree so that means you may take classes winter, summer and take more classes bringing it up to 16 credits

the nice thing about college is that you can do what you want to do and that includes choosing how many classes you want to take personally i wouldn't take over five because then your tuition is very high i'm currently at a tech school and taking four classes and my tuition is 1,562

On average for one semester, Full-time students take 12+ credits and part-time students take less than 12 credits.

Per semester or to graduate? To get a BA or BS you need 120 credits (equivalent to roughly four years of school or 15 credits per semester).
