I watched the video this morning and I was shocked at some of the things that Michael Richards said. He never struck me as the sort of person that would ever say things like he did. He seemed like a genuine nice guy. I only watched Seinfeld because of the character he played as Kramer. The rest of the cast was OK, but Kramer was my favorite because he made me laugh so long and hard. I grew to love the character and the actor that made him real.
Those guys in the audience who were heckling him deserve to have their collective asses kicked for what they did, but even I have to admit that Michael Richards didn't have to call them racial epithets the way he did. He could have called them idiots, or stupid, or thoughtless bastards, but he didn't have to go as far as he did. What the hell was he thinking? Now a lot of people think the worst about him. All those times I came home from work sad, or depressed, but after watching Kramer do his stuff on television would make the ending of my day not so bad, and even bring a smile on my face.
But I am also a Black man, and now I now find that my comedic hero, who I thought was a really great guy, thinks that people like me are just *******. This is so sad. Even if he thought that he should never have said that out loud. He should have called those hecklers what they were; loudmouth, disrespectful, stupid idiots who needed to sit down and STFU.
Is there a way that we can forgive this guy for having his one idiotic day in the sun? Can I forgive him for saying those things? Can I still watch Seinfeld without thinking about what Michael Richards said at the comedy club? Can I ever enjoy anything he's ever done again? Answer? Not right now.
Is he sorry for leeting those idiots push his buttons so he ended up looking like a damn fool on nation televsion and the internet?
Answer:
I think he's sorry that he murdered what little carreer he had left, and I think he's sorry that someone video taped his rant. I think he's sorry he got caught.
I still cannot get myself to believe he's a racist. I gues I'm at that "Say it isnt so" stage in my life.
This world and its people can be so depressing.

I agree. His "apology" was insincere and he had the nerve to get upset that people wre upset over what he said. That is ignorance at its best. His career is over, he knows it and only apologized so somevody wouldn't come after him and potentially kill him. The African American community will hang him out to dry. That sort of thing is not taken lightly. The fact of the matter is that he doesn't think much of the black community and voiced it. Big no no in his line of work but at least the people he dislikes so much will not waste their money going to see his shows or supporting his career. The truth is out. He is a bigot. PERIOD.

He is sorry for what he said, he apologized last night with David Letterman.
A true Racist would not apologize for what they said and would actually defend it a true racist would value their word and beliefs more than a career.
He was angry so to hurt the man that was harassing his performance he called him the bad word name.
Then the audience guy got mad and called him the other bad word name.
Everyone involved in this story is guilty the audience guy for disturbing his performance then calling him names, Richards for saying such terrible things and the camera guy for sending the video to TMZ instead of letting this terrible story die right then and there and avoiding the drama that is going on now.
- thank you

He got caught expressing what he really feels about another race. Like the case of Mel Gibson, he has to apologize or get severely punished. He has to say that he doesn't really mean it or else people will not give him jobs anymore. Not like he was getting them in the first place. I don't think that this will ever be forgotten in his case or Mel Gibson's as well. People's memory's are longer than celebrities seem to think they are.

people sue for the stupidest issues anymore and that they win. The courts have become so lenient to idiotic suits that's laughable. I have not got any appreciate for adults that seek for funds by utilising screaming racism, psychological misery or any of that different stupid crap. The economic proceedings ought to be constrained to real HURTFUL acts, bodily. Has all and numerous asked those men in the event that they have ever been observed as names earlier? Did they sue? Oh, Hell no! Whoever observed as them a similar call did not have any funds so as that they the two surpassed over it or beat the crap out of "suggested" individual and forgot it. the real own discomfort is led to by utilising newborn to newborn touch at school! Idiots that make exciting of alternative pupils and mark them for different assaults. economic, racial, faith all of that's so abused by utilising bullies at school I say we start up suing the mum and dad of the toddlers that make exciting of yet another newborn!!! we are in a position to make thousands and thousands!!!!!

Though I don't think he should've used the N-word, he had a right to fight back against the hecklers who were interuppting his act. Once again, someone who's just trying to defend himself gets the blame. Why can't the instigator ever get blamed? That's BS!

I think he is sorry, people blow up every once in awhile and this was his time. I think he was wrong for saying what he said but the men that were interrupting him were wrong too. I also believe that it was wrong to go on his level and call him names too.

I agree with you completely. I think he just apologized to save his own *** and his career. I don't know if he will be able to save it. It was really disturbing to see that. I have lost all my respect for him.
