Nope, I dont' pronounce the "l". I was born in Puerto Rico, lived in Mass for a few years when I was little, and have been in Florida for the past 18 years, so how I say it could have come from any of those places. :)

No. I live in the Netherlands, but come from central Canada. Many people here say the l in salmon.

I guess i never really paid much attention to it but i don't pronounce the L in SALMON. And i live in Virginia-close to DC.

I don't pronounce the 'l'. I'm in South Carolina, but I was raised in Oklahoma. I hear the 'l' pronounced quite a bit here, but not bu everyone, but I don't know where everyone's from.

wow, i never thought about the "L" in salmon; i definitely spell it correctly.
well, i'm from northern california by San Francisco and i don't pronounce the "L" in salmon.
i'm glad to get that off my chest; it's almost like alcoholics anonymous or something. ^_^

Nope. One is not supposed to pronounce the l. It is silent.

Obviously there are dialects -- typically southern US -- where some folks do pronounce the L. However, despite the fact that there is an L in the word, it is meant to be silent.
