"I wish you would step back off that ledge my friend" "You could cut ties with all the lies, that you've been living in." "And if you do not want to see me again.. I would understand"
Sorry, got into a Third Eye Blind kick there.
Can I sliver down you like a melting ice cube!

I have learned in my life that bringing up the past is just a way of causing myself unnecessary pain. When my husband cheated on me, I threw it into his face constantly, until 2 years later he asked me when will he ever be forgiven for his mistake. I realized then that I need to forgive and let it go, once I have done this, I feel more clear headed, more confident and a huge weight has been lifted. People make mistakes, but should not have to pay their life for it. The past is what makes us what we are today. Happy Thanksgiving.

I try and put the past away but there are things that I can never can forget. These things make me what I am now. I try and forget the bad and always remember the good but sometimes the bad has to be remembered to make you stronger.

To live in the past is to sacrifice dreams so everyone should remember the past, live for the present and plan for the future so yes I can put the past away

Since it is not likely I will remember things correctly in my past anyway, I create new memories of a happy past. That way I feel good about myself and have nothing to work out.

I've never been able to put the past away entirely. I can for a few weeks, but then it comes back to me again.

I can put the past away. I can forgive & move on, but that doesn't mean that I've forgotten the lessons learned along the way.

It all depends on the history. Personal history I put away but when it involves others that's another story.
