Desperate. Not a good thing to encourage for your daughter.
Tell her to pay more attention to the ones that do notice her.

You should not be encouraging that! If a man doesnt pay a woman any attention, HE DOES NOT WANT HER!
If your daughter is desperate for him, she needs to rethink the whole situation and her self worth. She is worth much more than that. There are too many fishes in the fish bowl to be desperate over a boy.
Put your foot down and talk some sense into her. As her mom, you NEED to do that or else she will be going down the wrong path her whole life.

First of all don't lie, we all know you don't have a daughter. Don't feel bad about him not liking you either, just set your sights on the guys that do.

Why would you encourage your daughter to be noticed by a guy? If he doesn't notice her, it's his loss. You should be instilling other qualities in her other trying to help her get a guy.

well.......tell her to just go up to him and chat abot school .
a week later have them talk about some thing else more important then school.
now have her ask him if he wants to just hang to do home work
then tell her too ask him if she wants to go on a date
