Being left is always hard but this situation is extremely difficult and you are not alone. I left my wife whom I loved for another man. The reason was quite simple, I am gay and was born that way. I did not realize it for a long time and instead supressed it and hid behind religion and my marriage and our two lovely children. I am not proud that I could not face it earlier but am so much happier now and still love my children and respect my ex-wife. I am still a big part of my children's life, still involved in the church and community. I wish I could have been my true self sooner but would never have given up the joy of having my children.

My friend had 2 children with her partner before he left her for another man! 4 years on she has met someone Else, is engaged and had another baby. Still in regular contact with her ex and his partner, I am not saying it was easy and it still isn't but for the sake of the kids she has battled on and keeps a civil relationship with them, Always a silver lining honey her ex was nothing compared to the guy she is with now!

How exciting. Will they let you watch? Will they let ME watch?

Seriously, it sucks being left, no matter who they leave you for. Get some counselling or let it all out to the Samaritans - I swear it'll make you feel better. DO NOT watch Brokeback Mountain at this time.

You know, I think I would have preferred to be left for another man - when my ex left (when i was pregnant) for another woman, I thought she was a f*cking disgrace and a let-down to the female species. And I told her so. With men, well... they're like dogs, just chasing their tails...

Being left is hard period. Now you have to put that aside and raise your baby and know that there are men out there who will want the two of you!!

you should be able to deal with it better than if he left for another woman, look at this way he left you for someone that can give him something you haven't got. That is something beyond your control, unless you wanted to head in the direction of adult toys :S which would have still ended up with him leaving eventually. better he left now than later.
