Keep your friends close...keep your enemies closer. I'm sounding like a broken record! I don't try to make friends with the enemy unless I know I'll be in close quarters with the enemy. I don't think I have an enemy right now though.

Make Friends with the enemy cause then you can find stuff out about them and later on if there being awful you can use it against them! Ha ha works every time! As they say keep your friends close but your enemies closer!

You always need to keep an eye on the enemy so you know what he or she is up to, as for making friends make it more like acquaintances.

Sometimes this is the best way to keep tabs on the people who can cause you the most distress in your life. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. I learned this with my husbands family. I used to side against them, they are truly evil people, but then they started turning my husband against me, so now I have worked my way into their group and I am more able to keep them from working against me and watching them work against other in-laws in the family. It's definitely a vicious cycle.

In the case of true enemies, this is rarely possible. We are not really an egalitarian society.
