seinfeld season 7 on DVD??? was it just a clever marketing ploy to drive sales via controversy???

I agree. But then again, why would a hit show like Seinfeld need more publicity? I do think that his career needed a boost. Unfortunately, this was the way they decided to boost his career. I would not be surprised if he gets several jobs after this "outburst". I would also not be surprised if he set-up the whole thing. The sad thing is, he is a great comedic actor and deserves to have another sitcom if nothing else. I mean please...if Charlie Sheen can have a hit show then Michael Richards should have three hit shows with all his talent.

I find it stupid, not interesting. This will only make a lot of people who were and are still upset with what he had to say, not get that 7th season. There were a lot of African Americans who liked "Seinfeld" and liked his character-Kramer-because he was a fun-loving, kooky guy who just was a weird, but loving character.
But, his true colors came through. This is not good for him at all.

No, I didn't find it "interesting"...in fact, that's not really a word I'd use to describe his behavior. More like "disgusting".
And I highly doubt that the entire Seinfeld Machine would entrust marketing and advertisement to such as the likes of Michael "I'll never work in this town again" Richards.
Sheesh.

They dont need stunts to sell seinfeld, the show is so popular it can sell itself. I think its a coincidence and that outburst can't help anyone in a good way.

Not really. It was a total no-story made into a story by the bored as$ media just like most of their stories. If your a comedian and you get heckled. You shoot back, that's just the way it is.
