Yes. I would break that little gay boy's hand if he tried to put it near my face. You don't ever touch someone's face in that manner; it's not only rude and disrespectful, I believe that she could have charged him with assault.

No I do not. It was all meant to be a joke and nothing more. He backed down immediately when he realized he had offended her, as that had not been his intention. He had meant for it to be in good fun, nothing more. Then, after the show Clay get's interviewed by the Inisder, and has nothing but good things to say about Kelly, including what a great host she is. Also, Kelly found Clay's mistake disrespectful, but she didn't seem to find her impersonating Clay and mocking him on national television, and then showing him that clip while he was there disrespectful in anyway. And then, despite the fact that Clay seemed sorry about the whole incident, and said good things about her, she goes on Monday and bashes him on TV. If she really had a problem with what happened, why didn't she tell him after the show? Why did she act as if she had moved on, before going and bashing him. She should have handled the entire situation offscreen. This is my opinion. If anything, if she believed that what Clay did was disrespectful, she should have taken her own advice of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" because her tirade on Monday was just as disrespectul, not to mention unprofessional.

I think EVERYBODY, including Kelly Ripa, Clay Aiken, and the viewing audience need to get over this little bit of drama; it's not worth the attention everyone is paying to it.

i think they were both disrespectful to each other the way i saw the show. I mean, if kelly ripa would just shut up for a moment and allow her guest host to ask questions clay wouldn't have put his hand on her mouth!

It was obvious from the start. There didn't seem to be any chemistry with the two of them. He came off pretty cold and shallow. I think she tried her best to break the ice. She never talked down to him or made him feel uncomfortable in any way. If anything she was Kelly Ripa, she was being herself. She is a professional and tried to do her job. He was the one that was out of line. She has handled this with class.

Yes. Very much so.

Although I do think Regis might have been on to something when he said that Clay was probably nervous.

IMO Clay would do well to be quoted in an Us Magazine or something saying as much. He really should issue some sort of apology to Kelly.

yes and no . . . I'll explain

YES-
What he did was disrespectful because you just don't put your hand in any ones face like that especially someone you just met. Also, you don't interrupt someone when they are conducting an interview especially if you are THEIR guest co-host.

NO-
I don't think he meant to be disrespectful. He was trying to be playful and go with the flow of the show unfortunately his actions were more rude than funny.

In a way he was, he didn't need to put his hands on her but she wasn't being the greatest either, she just kept asking questions when he was trying to ask his.
