a good job because i have a felony on my background? I had several interviews but I'm most certain it was my background check that stopped me. How can i change or fix this problem?

be honest about your past and don't go for jobs where a felony will not help you like anything to do with money or kids the felony will hurt you you cant fix a felony its a permanent mark on your record

Are you attacking this head on in your interviews? Or just writing it on your application and hoping they don't find out.

If you are trying to get a job with a company that you know does background checking, then you need to just be up front and honest in the interview. I wouldn't bring it up until the end, and then only if they act like they are really interested in you, but I think if you come clean, eventually, someone will cut you a break.

But, not knowing what your felony was for, or what type jobs you are applying for, no one could say for sure.

If you are rightfully convicted of a crime, you can't have your criminal record expunged. Just keep trying till you find that job you're looking for.
