this may be of some help

do you have the limewire icon in your system tray bar at bottom by clock?
need to turn that off before uninstalling if you didn't before.
if its there turn it off
next i would try clicking start, run, browse, c:, program files and delete limewire from there
if that works than try again in the add/remove and it should be gone

someone must be downloading of you thats why you cant shut it down.Go to start menu, add or remove programme then find limewire on menu and hit remove. That should do it.dont be tempted to put it back on when a good song comes out because you just get double the viruses.I tunes is a good legal site.

Have you actually exited (is that a word) the programme? Even when you close limewire it still runs at the bottom of the screen.... Make sure you have selected 'exit', (right click the icon bottom right of your screen, select exit), Go to your start menu, control panel, add or remove programms, then scroll down until you see 'Limewire'.. et voila, it SHOULD work x

Unless you want hassle from this program regular what i'd suggest is this. Go to control panel, add and delete programs, delete it from there then install emule 047c. Less bugs, smoother running and faster. Limewire is bad news at times.
