Unfortunately, people of all races have their shares of prejudices. I have known racists of every race.

Sad but true, due to exposure to Western culture, some Asians are insecure about their natural features. To conform with the Western standard of beauty some will have surgery to create a double eyefold.

As far as appearance is concerned, there are beautiful and ugly people of every race.

Yes. I don't know why Asians have surgery to look more Western because I think they look great as they are. It may be racist to some but thats just the way some nations generally tend to be. It's just the way things are so why always try and change it so everythings politically correct? Why does everyone have to love everyone equally? I tell you in the West, many people find Asians (mainly Japanese, Chinese, Korean) very attractive... so its sort of a mutual thing. I find Asians very attractive (the females of course, not the guys)

Good luck with the English. I intend to learn an Asian language myself soon (while in university).

i'm not Korean, yet I definitely have many Korean born associates who have been observed or immigrated to the states at a youthful age. the certainty of the region is that Koreans tend to be very jealous of others. on condition that English is actual one in all the #a million factors of training "throw aways" they're going to hate on you for speaking English fluently, yet looking like a Korean. you will get stares, a number of curoisity, a number of promptly up disrespect. besides the undeniable fact which you're a girl, and in case you're appealing you will maximum in all probability be taken care of greater valuable. Korean men are sexist, and dislike maximum distant places men, and Korean-observed men. simply by fact the poster above reported that Koreans think of gyopos or foreigners "misbehave." inform you what, bypass downtown everywhere after hour of darkness and watch how the ok men work together. that's all the info you will ever prefer. I see no distinction in how the two race acts, different then maximum distant places men get greater interest then ok men, it relatively is out of jealousy and lack of self belief. If everybody judges or downplays this answer, it proves the element of their lack of self belief and jealousy of others. (ok vs F)

Hmmm not sure. I had a pen pal from South Korea once, and she didn't come across like that. I think that maybe, you have a distorted view. I'll admit, in America black people have a reputation for being murders and thugs (not true) and Asians have a stereotype of being really smart and bad drivers (not always true ;) kiddles) I live in Michigan, about twenty minutes away from Detroit, and my parents are kinda racist against African Americans. It makes me mad. Although we have different skin colors and physical appearances, inside we're all the same (oh, no! soap operaish!) and we should accept it.

Totally, if they are not loving or excepting their beauty as well. It certainly isn't nice to call someone or depict any other race in a negative way. It's best if your not affectionate towards someone, it doesn't mean you should disrespect them. Just give them peace. I thought people in Korea understood they have beauty too like everyone has, show it on tv in their country and except their beauty. I've seen people in Korea happy about their country and being Korean. It's a beautiful country.

I lived in a Korean area in San Fran in college and I noticed they didn't take to strangers. After 6 months of going to the same store I started getting warm receptions.

They seem more distrustful than racist, they were mean to everyone they didn't know regardless of race.

BUT a lot of Asians emigrate to America FEARING the black man. My japenese roommate did as did a lot of his friends from Japan and China.

There are racists in all cultures. I know African Americans, Whites, Asians, and all between that love all or even hate all that are different. So, it is just a sad truth about life. The ignorant people hate those that are different.

I kindda don't understand who wrote above of mine cause it's really hard to judge one culture with a certain case of experience..

well, i'm a korean and i don't view white people are hot and black people aren't ( i have a black boyfriend..) i think it's always more worth it to judge people with their inside than their appearances..

We all have differences but still live in peace.
