This is a question that is asked purely out of simple interest. Who do you all think are the three best and the three worst presidents in the United States?? ((Please explain your reasons)) I just want to see if there is any consistency. ((This is purely a curious question that I am asking just for the fun of it))

I'm tempted to say that George W. Bush was the single worst President but I won't for fear that I'll be called a liberal socialist ideologue.
My three best - Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Abe Lincoln, John F. Kennedy. Why? FDR brought us the liberal economic policies that brought us out of the Great Depression, led us through to ultimate victory in World War II, and accurately judged the threats facing us enough to realize that we could beat the Germans and Japanese, but a war with the Soviets over Yalta would be too costly. Abe Lincoln because he reunited the country despite his depression problems and an ultra-divided populace. And JFK because he stopped the Cuban Missile Crisis from spiraling out of control and got people to respect America for what it truly is worth.
The three worst? Millard Fillmore, Calvin Coolidge, and James Buchanan. Millard Fillmore because he was just a placeholder after Zachary Taylor's death who really didn't do anything, Calvin Coolidge because he set up the policies that led to the Great Depression, and James Buchanan because not only did he let the Civil War break out on his watch, but he went so far as to not react to secession for at least a month after Lincoln was elected, leaving an even worse problem for the incoming President.

Best-
!)George Washington- The man who started it all!
2) Abraham Lincoln- won a very important war for us and made peace- rock on!
3) Ronald Reagan- I'm a conservative, there's no room in this page for al the reasons i think he's the best!
Worst-
1)Ulysses S. Grant- the man had more scandals in his administration then Clinton and Nixon put together. yikes.
2) Jimmy Carter- very nearly succeeded in running this country into the ground, and an un-ashamed anti-semite. thank god for Reagan!
3) William Jefferson Clinton- again, I'm a conservative. 'nuff said!

FDR, Dwight Eisenhower, & Lincoln were the best 3 presidents.
Andrew Johnson, Jimmy Carter, & from what I've heard Warren Harding were among the worst.
FDR had the New Deal
Eisenhower established the Interstate highways
Lincoln Made sure everyone was free
Johnson was almost impeached
My Grandpa didn't like Carter at all
I don't know why Harding was so bad but some people said he didn't do enough.

it depends on what grounds you base "Best" and "Worse" on... by popularity JFK was probably easily the best.. by what was accomplished.. FDR or Washington or Lincoln.. maybe even Jefferson... you might even be able to throw Nixon or Reagan into the mix there and possibly Clinton.... as for the worse Nixon and Clinton could both be place in this category as well along with Bush...... overall my top 3 are FDR, JFK and Clinton...because they were popular and they ran the nation very well, ran the economy well and were liked abroad as well as at home.... I couldn't say at the moment who my bottom 3 would be.. but i can say that Bush will probably make the list by the end of this term.

Best, F.D.Roosevelt, Kennedy, Reagan. Not necessarily because of their policies, but because they were capable leaders that the American people respected. Worst, Nixon, Carter, Clinton, Again not because of their policies but because the American people lost respect for them.
