Slowly at first, it will hurt like hell. Concentrate on the area between the two eyebrows first, and then when you get more confident take a few from underneath the brow to taper it upwards at the outer edges.

I also recommend going to a good salon if this is the first time you are plucking your eyebrows. If you don't want to do that for whatever reasons, you can get kits with what could be described as stencils that you place on your eyebrows and just pluck round in order to achieve the desired shape.

If you do pluck them yourself, do it in good light, like by a window so you can really see what you are doing.

The way I do it is numb a bit with an ice cube, use an eyebrow pencil and draw on the shape you want it,make sure you shape it right, then any stray hairs that fall out if the shape of my 'drawn brow' get a good plucking! :o)

Until you have done it a good few times take some time on it.

Good luck :o)

This is a ridiculous female hobby, do not pluck any!
If you start plucking strays, the next line ones become strays until you have nothing left but a thin line of patheticness.
If you want to pluck something try your nose hair.

Just pluck the *strays* that grow outside the main brow line. Once you start venturing in to the main brow line- you end up with pencil thing eyebrows. Try to imagine a shape that suits you, and stick with an imaginary guidelines.

Only pluck from underneath the brow and go slowly, if you make a mistake it'll take a few weeks to look normal again! Body Shop (in UK) sell good tweezers that have finger holes like scissors, so they're easier to control.

Here's the way to get it right! The very first time you do it GO TO A PROFESSIONAL and pay them to do it right. Then, all you have to do, it keep the maintenance up at home. This is guaranteed to make you life easier...if you mess it up the first time, then, you have to let them grow back and try again.

This way you will be picture perfect from day one. I know-- this is what I did! It works!

I would suggest getting it done professionally first. That way you will see what your natural shape is. Then all you need to do is regularly pluck the hairs that are growing back.

Get your eyebrows waxed (it doesn't hurt) then just remove strays as and when they come through - or go back after 6 weeks and have them waxed again. Don't forget to find a reputable salon!!
