to someone of the same sex or a transsexual person?

I don't want to hear about how it's not legal in the U.S...blah blah blah. I'm not concerned about the semantics, I'm concerned about the principle.

If my son or daughter was happy and they were being treated well by their would be partner...I'd be thrilled and supportive.

I'm more afraid that they'll marry a loser that'll suck them dry emotionally and become a millstone around their neck for years.

By the time they have made up their mind to do that, what can you say? You cannot dictate what they do once they are grown. I would probably let my feelings be known the same as if my child were marrying someone of the opposite sex of whom I didn't approve. And I would pray a lot.
Or, would it be better to use reverse psychology, and pretend to approve, to the point of pushing the whole thing, just to make them think about it and decide on their own they are making a mistake? Not sure.

I'd attend the wedding and buy them a present. It is my child after all. As long as they are both adults and my child is happy I won't interfere.

I would prefer that they marry of the opposite sex though. But I won't harrass my own child about the decisions he/she makes.

If that's what my kid wants and is happy with, then I say go for it. I don't care about my kid's sexual preference... As long as the love is there, I'm okay with it and accept it.
However, if I thought that the person was bad for my kid, then I would have a problem with it... like say a golddigger or something...

I would support him/her.... Heaven knows they are going to need some kind of support seeing as in this bigot society being gay is some kind of disease..
