I need to get rid of/burn some sticks (yard waste). Any reason why I shouldn't do it in a tall weber grill? I was going to get a firepit for that purpose, but now I'm thinking why not use Weber. Why not?

You sure can. I've done exactly what you are asking about. I have a tall Weber. I took all the metal grates out and burned away. Worked just like a fire pit.

Just make sure you don't have anything near it that will catch on fire. Maybe even have your hose handy.

I too have burned wood in the old weber. But one thing, try not to get carried away and burn too much at one time. Big, excessive flames will cause the grill to get hotter than when charcoal is used, and it will burn the paint off the grill.

You can and I have. I've even used wood
in the grill to cook with. What is charcoal
anyway? Burnt wood. Just be aware that
a wood fire will get hotter so you will eventually
burn thru the metal. The firepits have much
thicker metal, but the cost of a new Weber
isn't much. Burn away.
