10 months ago I had a baby. About 2 months ago while taking a bath I laid down to rinse my hair and my vagina filled with water when I sat up it gushed out this happens everytime I take a bath. Why does this happen? Is there anything I can do to stop it from happening other than take a shower?

The muscles around the vagina stretch during childbirth and it can take some time for them to strengthen again. Do lots of Kegel exercises, and in the meantime take showers instead of baths in order to avoid getting a UTI.

Been there! I freaked out the first time it happened. I asked my doctor about it. All that happened was your muscles were very relaxed, and with having had a baby only eight weeks ago things are still abit stretched out. If you are really uncomfortable about it call your obgyn office and talk to a nurse. Trust me they have heard it all. Don't be embarassed.

First off, showering is much healthier than tub baths, so yes I would switch to showers. But what you are experiencing is due to the vaginal walls being stretched by child birth. You need to tighten up those vaginal walls with Kegel's exercises.http://www.donnarogers.com/Kegel's.htm

your vagina is an opening has nothing to do with you having a baby if that;s what you think. You'er more loose down there but not that loose. Even women who have no children get this- swimmers get this too! i used to swim for my team in high school and this happened alot called cu-nt farts or whatever. IT's normal- nothing you can do to stop it only happens when you;re in water. But- it also happens when you have sex and your legs are in the air- your vagina sux air inn and when you push out sounds like a fart with water- your vagina sux the water in and you push it out like if you're giving birth. Wierd but- tis' normal.
