I am from Michigan and I knew a girl who's name was Shay when I lived in Georgia. Funny thing is she was named after a man named Shay! So I guess it can be for either one. Happy Holidays!

i don't like it very plenty. it particularly is getting very not easy to discover one among those good variety of of my well-known boy names starting to be so girly. Jordan has continually been one among my favorites for a boy, yet there have been 3 - confident, 3 - ladies named Jordan in a 5th grade type I observed. 3 Jordans out of a form of 24 childrens, perchance 0.5 of them ladies. 3/12...a FOURTH of the females in the class have been named Jordan! for the reason that then i've got been iffy on the call. yet another one among my favorites is Dylan, yet i've got additionally seen this one worn on ladies formerly. I recommend, i'm not asserting which you could not have a attractiveness to mirror a extra tomboy character, yet i think of that's what nicknames are for. i don't have a issue with Alexandra going via Alex, Charlotte going via Charlie, Samantha going via Sam, etc. yet i does not call them in basic terms Alex or Sam or Charlie. You improve an extremely stable element with the opposite factor. no person DOES look to have any problems with Riley or Dylan for a girl, yet whilst they meet a boy named Ashley, their reaction is, "you're a BOY?! yet it extremely is a woman'S call!" i've got been yelled at for pointing out that Madison grew to become right into a boys' call, that's actually actual using fact the meaning of the call is "Son of Matthew" - subsequently the -son ending. I settle for that this one has long gone over to the females now, yet I nevertheless does not call my daughter a attractiveness that meant "Son of ____." I do love the call Madeleine/Madelyn, which has similarities and intensely female. I do like some unisex names for females extra advantageous than adult adult males, in spite of the undeniable fact that. I recommend, even in spite of the undeniable fact that I even have seen male Baileys and Taylors, whilst it comes right down to it i like them extra useful for females (I do think of Taylor is dazzling-looking on a boy, besides the undeniable fact that, so i don't understand). And Riley for a girl is suitable if spelled as Rylie or Ryleigh. however the vast majority of those "unisex" names weren't unisex till some human beings got here over and called their daughters via those names, and that i discover it not easy to sympathize with them on that.
