We made play-doh together and then made handprints of his hands and put the date on them. We let them dry for a few days. They were supposed to hang on the tree but they were a little heavy so the grandparents just put them on the mantle.

A similar idea is to outline her hands on cardboard or paper and cut out a hole where the palm is. You can let her color and decorate the fingers with sparkles or stickers and then paste a small photo of her in the palm hole. Put a small hole in the top and string a ribbon through it and they can use it as a tree decoration.

Fingerpainting is great...or use an old baking pan (one you dont care about).....put paper (construction is best) in the bottom, put a dollop of elmers glue in the center....let your daughter take a small ball, marble, rock and roll the pan in different directions....then take glitter of different colors and sprinkle in on the glue. My grandson did this about 3 years ago at daycare...and I still have it hanging on my fridge. There is alot of things you can do with the glue and glitter... pine cones are a good one, then attach a ribbon and they can hang it from there Christmas tree forever. Good Luck !!!
Happy Thanksgiving !!! and Merry Christmas !!!
