Technically, they are both as fault. Being a stand up comedian, however, he should've been prepared for hecklers. If Richards stopped with the fork remark, people wouldn't be as upset. However, Doss trying to think of some lame comeback makes him as much as fault, too.

Heckling has been part of comedy since it began. Even in the Shakeperean era, heckling was incredibly prevelanet. Hundreds of comedians have been heckled, but none of them have gone on this kind of enexcusable tirade.

No, because that's what people do in comedy clubs so the performers should be used to it. Especially a "professional". Even if it was premeditated, the nature of the outburst was just totally unacceptable.
