Chromium(III) chloride + silver nitrate ===> chromium(III) nitrate + silver chloride(precipitate). Chromium(III) nitrate is also called chromic nitrate.

The formula for chromium nitrate is Cr(NO3)2
IT IS MADE FROM THE METAL ELEMENT CHROMIUM AND THE POLYATOMIC ION NO3
It could be formed from using Cr to replace the metal in a nitrate compound below chromium on the activity series.

It is possible that it also forms CrNO3 as chromium has more than one oxidation state.
