No, I know someone that dislikes houses. They like to travel a lot other than stay in one spot. So it's not true.

No. It's just that people who don't live in trailors do not know anythng about them but media rhetic. The average traiolor cost over 60,000. you can buy a 1 bewd room trailor and 30 x 80 lot on the beach for 1,200,000 if you have the money,
The average 1 acrea lot and dounble wide here is about 125,000.
The county waas requiring 2 acreas on new trailer sites each and the lots run form 25,000 in a park to 60,000.
Odly enough the people who live in trailrs are just like you.. They go to the bathroom just like you. Their children go to school and college. They have jobs, girlfriends, husbands, boyfriends, bank accounts, new cars and trucks and often they have the nerve to run for public office.
If you really want poor you have to go to The ghettos of New York, Cleveland, Los Angles,Atlanta.
There are stioll a few small trailor parks with some poor people but you also find teachers, an accasional doctor, cops, business people or other professional. I know a guy who started out selling trailors and although he is a millionaire he still lives in one, So if you want to buy one of the several peices of property he has up ffor sale starting at 6 million up justy go by his single wide and talk with him,.
Trailors are quick realitivley cheap housing for the newly married, retired,(thousands of those pesky yankees retired to Florida to live in squander in trailor parks which can start at 150,000 to over a million.
It's just a house on wheels with the wheels taken off. You'll love your first one,. good luck

No I live in a trailer and make over 40,000 a year. But I'm not married and have no kids, so its an easy way to save money. And my park pays water and cable, mows my lawn, and picks up my trash. All for 200 a month, show me one place that's better than that. And I also still live in a college town so trailers are more common than houses.

Heavens no! Do you realize that new mobile homes cost around $75,000? My fiance and I looked at one that cost $125,000!
My mother lives in a used single wide because she no longer wanted the responsibility of caring for a larger home. Her park is filled with retirees who have erected garages & some have used professional landscapers! Her park is very attractive; its hilly with winding roads & lots of trees.
My mother has a healthy bank acct as I'm sure her friends do as well.
There are some old parks where I'm sure its pretty cheap living & people live in some mighty old & small mobile homes & probably a lot of poor people live there. After looking at new homes my attitude has changed considerably.

Nope, my aunt was far from poor, had a huge fancy double wide and wanted a trailer just because she could move it onto property later. I guess it just depends on what type of house payment one wants to have. I prefer a house myself, but being house poor is not something all people want in life, buying a trailer frees up money for other joyful things in life. : ) Happy Thanksgiving!

No. In fact, I would bet that many people who live in trailers do so becasue they don't want to be up to their eyeballs in debt like the rest of America.
I live in a condo much smaller than some of the homes I have lived in in the past and I am not retired, not elderly, not single...I just prefer not to stress each month about a $3000 mortgage payment on a house that is so big I can't clean it myself.

It is the most common because the cost of a trailer makes it more economical for those that do not have a lot of money. Some people like it though no matter how much you have.

no, i used to know this couple who was quite well off..they loved to travel so they just locked up the trailer and left. When you own a house you have much bigger responsibilities like a garden ...BTW Demi Moore grew up in a trailer park....she's not poor!
