the game is allowed on the tv... but not during dinner... and there is only 1 tv at my parents (where we have Thanksgiving every year) and thats downstairs in the den... everyone is usually upstairs talking, playing board game, and napping every so often... we like to spend time together... we sometimes tell fun stories/jokes... I most likely will be giving makeovers to the girls (i am a beauty consultant, and LOVE it) and also will be mixing drinks all day for whoever's glass gets low!

Football is bonding time with my family, We will watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade then watch a game, eat and go back to the game! We usually don't have the sound turned up on the TV so we spend probably about 8 hours talking.

I will probably watch about 1/3 of each game, if possible. So about 3 hours of football. I will talk to my family all day, inlcuding the time I am watching football.

We will spent 0 times watching football, mainly because none of our local channels will carry the KC-Denver game, which matters to my Bronco husband. He will, however, listen to it on the radio.

We'll spend about 22 hours talking to family though--I have a HUGE family.

I have watched almost all of the Olympics that is telecast on TV at night so far. This is because I have the advantage of having a DVR so I record all the shows and then I can fast forward through all the ads. If you don't watch the ads it probably knocks off at least one third of the watching time if not more. Plus I can forward through some of the blah blah from the talking heads and actually watch the sports.

I'll have the T.V. on early and watch the parades, and then all the footbal that's on, while cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Great day for food, family and football. Happy Turkey-Day.
