HAS ANYONE TRAVELLED BY BUS? I AM RIDING ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME. GOING ON A 1 DAY 3 HOUR TRIP. YIKES!! WHAT CAN BE EXPECTED. ANY TIPS?

expect alot of stops and long waits at each one. bring money for soda machines and snack machines. bring a book or something for you to do. don't carry to much on the bus put as much as you can under the bus. get off at each rest stop and stretch your legs. don't talk to creepy people. good luck and have fun.

And something to read. Riding on a bus can be an interesting experience. You can meet nice people, but be very careful. I rode from Chicago to Davenport sitting next to a drug dealer once and didn't know it until they hauled him off. If the bus is going through places you've never seen before it can be fun. My husband would actually rather sit on a bus for two days than fly or take a train.

Won't be so bad just 3 hours. Mainly have to watch yourself at the stations as some are in some really bad neighborhoods. Take your tunes and listen to your favorite music and it will be over before you know it.
