Yeah! I got the giblets but forgot about the neck in the cavity and that was wrapped in plastic but it didn't melt much cause the inside was still warm when I found it and it was much easier to remove. So it really worked out.. It's horrible trying to get them out when the turkey is still slightly frozen.

Yes, my cousin and I tried roasting our turkey sitll frozen with the giblets still inside all day while we were at work. It didn't work. We threw it out and at crackers and cheese.

That is so cute, I have to tell you a story about electric knives. My husband was set to carve the turkey with it, I kept the plastic over the blades until he was ready to carve, he tried to carve the turkey but just vibrated the meat off the poor thing, he failed to remove the protective shield....

Ohman, am I glad to know that I've got company!

Knew about the large central cavity----where else do you put stuffing?--- but WHY the turkey packer decided to hide additional spare parts in the **neck** cavity, will never figure out.....boy, was that a surprise later on, when the bird was on the table!

Happy Turkey Day, y'all!

Um ... Yes.. (red face) I got the neck out of the cavity but didn't know there was something in the turkey butt! Luckily, the plastic didn't melt and ruin the drippings!

Yes, and it really was easier to get them out after the turkey was cooked. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
