Kicking you out before you're 16 isn't legal, and neither is emotional abuse and neglect, which is what it sounds like is going on if he's threatening to kick you out (which no loving parent would do unless they were just really angry and didn't really mean it), and if you're so poorly raised that you got a girl pregnant and dropped out of school. (No offense.)

You typed your question articulately- many kids on line type like retarded monkeys. There's no reason to think you're not smart. You father has screwed you up, but you shouldn't let his actions destroy the rest of your life. That means it's your responsibility to get the balls to fix the flaws in yourself your parents have created and turn yourself into a smart, competent person. There's no better way of slapping your parents in the face than getting a great job and stable family and then saying "it was no thanks to YOU screw-ups."

It's probably asking too much of you at this stage, but the mature thing to do would be to make arrangements to support and raise the child (even if you and the girl can't handle marrying each other), and if possible, finish high school and then get whatever trade school or college training that will allow you to get a job you like.

legally he can turn you over to the state or give your rights up to the state.....and why would you wanna drop out any way....what type of life can you give your baby if you don't get an education? i am speaking from experience i had a daughter at 16 and finished school also went to college......i helped my friend out when i was younger because her father gave her to the state and she was 16 so it can happen and please don't listen to every one else who says that he can't because he could legally do it if he knows that he can give your rights over to the state...and you don't need that...live by the rules and think of what your child can do when they are your age...it does come back i have a 11 year old and her mouth just gets to me....you only have 2 years and you can be on your own but it takes alot of money and education now to support you and your child and how are you gonna do that if you drop out.....there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it will get better...i was 17 and on my own with a 2 year old and made it through high school and 4 years of college now i work at IBM and love every minute of it....and make the money to support my self and my child....it is just a bump in the road and you will get through it and don't let any one say that you screwed your life up by having a baby at a young age....good luck

No, it's not. Not until you are 18. He is responsible for you no matter what.
However>>>he can have you placed in foster care or sign you over to the state. which would probably take forever to do anyway.. In the meantime...you really should be in school. If not high school, a vocational school. If you have a baby, you need to have a way to support it. It is a proven fact that most young parents become young grandparents...how would you feel if your child makes the same decisions that you have? As parents, we all want the best for our children...your dad just wants the best for you too.

Read Sunshines answer, she's absolutely correct! Technically, he cannot "kick you out", he's still responsible for you until you are 18 HOWEVER he CAN send you to juvenile hall if he says he cannot control you and you not attending school will be proof enough of that! Get off your lazy butt and go back to school. Your kid is depending on you to take care of him the same way YOU are now expecting YOUR dad to take care of you!

i feel that he can do whatever he want because you are only 16 and you have a baby he didn't tell you to go out there and get some girl pregnant and he did tell you to drop out first of all how are you going to take care of this baby and without a high school diploma will only be able to work at fast food restaurants for the rest of your life you should want better for you and baby.

He is allowed to kick you out of his house but you don't go to the streets. You have to go to a foster home until you are 18. So you have to decide if you want to go to school or to a foster home. Why don't you go to school? What is wrong with it? School is fun when you go to your classes and see your friends. I don't understand. Do you want to work in McDonalds for the rest of your life? If you drop out of school, you will regret 10 years later. Believe me.

He can, but he has to tell the police to take you. Otherwise it's not to smart on his side, but if he calls the police, you go to the kids jail.

If you have a job and a kid and are responsible and maybe take some night classes or the GED test, the judge would probably let you go.
