I do not want to cause any alarm amongst the community at large, but just curious to know about innocent Muslims' experiences in either country, and what the rest of the world thinks.

I'd have to say the UK. It is understandable too, UKers have had a much longer relationship with dealing with the mid east, UK social laws and welfare practices as well as a long held "open door" policy to Asians that served the crown have caused so long-standing grudges against Muslims. Then there is the other side that Muslims routinely fail to assimilate into UK society once they are in their new country and active political/social attempts from Muslims to force Brits to change and enact special laws for them.
Here in America you'll find small pockets of Muslims, but they are, on the whole, well uneducated and well adapted to our society.
That's not to say there are not problems, but in reference to your question. UK is definitely more defensive against Muslims.

Most people who have posted here have no idea of how different the two western nations are and why they live the way they do. In Great Britain there was no slavery and no bussing; but the headscarf matter is wayyyyyy out of proportion to to the things going on here in America. Muslims can wear them; it is France who banned them.

The UK by far. Middle Easterners in the US are some of the weathiest and most educated of all Americans. In Britain (and the UK in general) the Muslims live in slums and are treated like dirt.

How about IMuslims been discriminatory against Westerners? You don't mention that, do you? Those countries feel that way about Islam for a good reason. Because Islam has attacked both of it's peoples. They have good reason not to love Muslims.

Even Muslims in the ME know that Muslims in America are more free to practice their religion there than anywhere on earth. America would never enact a "no headscarves" law, etc....

The UK, they have higher concentrations of mid easterners and apparently despise their closed society and most everything to do with them.
