I have a ghost in my house......?

Okay, I know this is going to sounds really odd but my boyfriend and my daughter swear they have seen the ghost of a small girl in my house. I have seen things I can't explain. I would like to know where I can research things like old land deeds and thinsg to see if there is some sort of "history" to my location. I know there have been only 4 families in this house and I know all four families that have lived there and they are all still living so I think my next move should be to research the land where the house sits. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

UInfortunately, You don't have a ghost in your house. By your own admission, you've merely experienced something you can't explain in any other way than saying that it was a ghost.

People who are unable to sleep for several days because of an illness, for example, might hallucinate and "see" dead relatives while he is still awake. A person who didn't know it was the brain taking time out to "dream" while awake might believe that his dead relatives came back to comfort him in his illness.

Photographs of ghosts (orbs, etc.) are little more than way-out-of-focus specks of dust or other airborne particles too close to the flash and lens of the camera.

Still other photographs are merely misuse of the camera. A shaky hand can cause blurs. A person who doesn't know how to properly use the "night portait" setting on a camera might see "energy" from distant lights.

When people visit a "haunted house" they've usually been told what "ghost" is there and where. That biases the visitor--even subconciously--and the visitor will then "feel" something.

John Edward and other "psychics" who claim to talk to the dead are only skilled in an art called "Cold Reading". A major factor in a successful "Cold Reading" is the psychic tossing out very vague references ("I'm seeing water.") and the person being "read" only remembering the "hits"--the vague references the psychic got right--and forgetting the "misses".

There is always an explaination to a "ghostly experience". It's just that the person who experienced it may not know what it is other than to believe it was a ghost.

you might not find anything even if you are able to find records. You could have picked this ghost up someplace, she might have wandered into your home, maybe attracted by the fact that your a mother figure with a female child.

Call an exorcist and if that does not work get the heck out of there I watched Hunting's on is it real on National Geographic last Night and that's what the did.

try several places,
town hall,
library,
public record.
real estate agents who dealt with the house.
it's good thing if a ghost decide to show itself in front of you. shows trust ;)
enjoy the spirit, you are the few lucky ones. i know i will never see a ghost in my life time, even though i really want to :(

go to the library and do some research on the area .they should have newspaper clippings and stuff.Make sure you do reseacch on the building next to as well.

Go to your town's boro hall. They would have the records there. If they say they don't, ask where they would be.
