Well, it's more like my laptop. But recently, i've been switchng popup blockers and such and i just dont know what happend. i tried to turn the laptop on and it just kept on showing the black screen, and so i suppose it crashed. It says its missing some booster file or something, and now its jacking up my hardrive and i have to clean out my whole laptop and start over. Is this the result of viruses, cuz im pretty sure. And is there anything i can do to save all my music files in it?

Your stuff is still on the HDD the problem is you can't get to it, so when the computer turns on press some of the Function Keys (F2,F5,F8) or the DEL key as soon as power comes into your computer and try some of those boot up menus and see what happens, viruses most of the time startup when Windows boots up not when the MOBO is checking the HDD

YES! There is a way. I study computers, and I'll tell you what happened. If the computer is old, it won't funtion properly. It also can be dusty, and have alot of things jammed up in it. The best way to make sure it won't do that again, buy an Anti-Virus CD ROM. I know that laptop will work and you did nothing. P.S. i don't study compiters, but my uncle does and i listen to him clearly! But I promise it wall work!
