I don't think it so much a matter of proving but the knowledge that your friend knows he/she can count on you. Regardless. Sort of like unconditional love.
I had a friend hurt in Costa Rica a few years ago. He was well enough to travel, but not on his own. The health care there is marginal at best. So I fly down, get him out of the hospital (pay the bill too) and get him to the airport. Get him through customs in Dallas and home to LA. One big, and expensive pain in the a**.

But he would have done the same for me. That's all that matters.

Why do you have to prove yourself? after time all the things i done for them will prove that

I wudnt prove myself as a good person in the first place if i tell abt the good deeds....
