Im getting an x box and dont no what my first game should be. should it be gears of war?

my husband got it yesterday, and since then he hardly left his xbox for more than 5 minutes ... he said it's a cool game with good story and good to play online with other people

Not played it myself but have seen the trailers it looks AWSOME. makes me want to go out and get a 360 rather than waiting for the p.s 3.....
