Why Indian films and songs are made on 1topic?

Whenever I see an Indian film or hear an Indian song, the topic is always the same:romantic.....how boring, I don't bear all times the same thing,I'm fed up..

Yes, it is true that the subject matter does not change much in Indian movies. However, the trend is slowly changing. The main reason why Indian movies are made the way they are, is because the masses want it that way. Producers are ion the business of movie making to make money and they will make whatever sells. The main reason films are the same is because nobody wants to risk their money by making an offbeat film, which may be very good but will flop at the box office.

Not all indian songs are about love (Though 95% are), it goes by the simple formula of what public wants to hear (Which will sell in return) and in India folks like to hear about love songs which just describes more of the emotion of Love and not actually going in to Graphic detail of love making.
Done saying that you are right about the fact most of the songs do have LOVE as a main Topic.

It's true if you said that most of the "Bollywood" movies are romantic. But Indian movies is not all about Bollywood movies. There are other languages too and they do project a spectrum of genres. Take a look at the Bengali and Malayalam movies.

But I wouldn't totally disagree with you. Most of the Indian movies are romantic. This is because most of the audience belongs to the youth. And movies are majorly made for the youth culture.

hey lady u should not talk when you dont know much about anything....

i am a die hard bollywood fan and i think that the Indian Movies are the best....

and for your kind info not all the Indian movies are romantic... take the recent picks like Rang De Basanti, Lage Raho Munnabhai etc., they were not romantic movies rather they conveyed nice messages to the society....

finally even if most of the movies are romantic then whats harm in that... in todays real world where nobody cares for no-one, mankind is about to extinct, atleast there are some stuff in which romance and love are still present....

Our Indian producer and directors are very clever they know our indian audence are very good hearted, dull headed, and also you are very brave to fight against the ant system (only in dreams), like example if you have been served old wine in a new bottel (every day), you know that it is old but u have no choice but u definetly drink but after finishing you abuse behind him.

i also hav same view.our films were not like this say 10-15 yrs ago.everyone is saying tht our ovies r quite popular in th west.bollywood is goin thru a period of bad time 4 a long time.if u look at movies some 10-15 yrs ago wer much better thn nw.
th thing is tht india has th 2 largest population n majority r in th age group og 25-35 yrs.so thy wil make movies for thm only.
also thr is lack of good directors,script writers.
if u had seen our movies a decade n half ago u would not hav said like this.th period rt frm th start of hindi cinema to around 2001 was th golden period of our cinema.

It is a way to express love because most marriages in India are arranged and are not love marriages. So the passion for love is expressed in these movies. What is wrong with it? Love makes the world go round.
