The carport did not say that you would get towed if you parked there. So, they have admitted that they are wrong, and will pay me the fee for the towing. But what about the lost wages? Is this something that is really possible to take to court in the state of Texas? My boyfriend and I missed out on work for the whole day, this day cost us over $558.00. And the apartments only want to pay 1/4 of it. What do you think? Anyone have facts?

You can sue them for any personal injury or loss you suffered as a direct result of their actions. So yes, you can sue them for having to miss work and the wages you lost, you can sue them for the towing fee, you can sue them for the impound fee, and while you're at it you can sue them for a nominal fee (say, $100.00) to cover the inconvenience of having to settle this mess.

Yes. You can sue them in small claims court in your county. Before you do so, present a bill to the landlord via certified mail and give them a chance to pay outside of court.

You won't be able to recover other than actual damages (pain and suffering, etc)
