My friend and I are going to attend the same colleges. I'm a girl.. and he is a guy. Do you think living together in our own apartment would work as being just "friends"? What do you think our parents are going to say?

no, reason being living on a College campus is about extending yourself to meet and grow with a whole new set a friends, hanging with High School friends at the next level will eventually separate you from meeting others because you are both comfortable with each other therefore have less inclination to go out and meet others, don't shut yourself out of the growing up experience at the college level

If both of you view eachother as just friends then it should work out just fine. Just make sure your friend is financially responsible. My brother has been having to pay both his and his friends half of the rent. Your parents probly wont like the idea of you livng with a guy unless your married to him. unless you have extremly understanding, trusting parents.

Bad bad bad idea! I can't say enough against it! Unless he's gay or you're gay or you're Both gay, it isn't going to work. No way. No how. You might think you're mature enough to handle it, but it doesn't work that way. I bet if you asked your college housing office, they'd say the same thing, since they have to rehouse people in that situation all the time. Been there, seen it, will never do it.

No it wont work.... Even if there is a slight attraction on ONE or BOTH sides... It will NOT work, and your parents are going to say HELL NO anyways. So Its probably best to find some girlfriends to room with.

if you have separate rooms and your parents know that then hopefully they'll be ok with it. just tell them it's no different than a girl roomie. it sounds like you are a little doubtful about drawing the line though. if you two do get involved, it'll be awful hard to make your parents believe you aren't. just be truthful with yourself and don't be afraid to set boundaries.

This question is so relative. It depends on so many factors....have you ever been interested in him as more than a friend? Has he? Could you see him as b/f material? Do you drink a lot and do stupid things while drunk? How conservative are your parents? Only you can truely answer this question for yourself.

I had a male roomate. It works great as long as neither of you have feelings for each other.
