I paintball with my husband, And your welt should be in no way green!! Unless you didnt clean off all the paintball when it hit, It should be only red slightly swollen and then within 2 days become a bruise. But if its green and hurts bad you need to see a doctor cause that is NOT normal..

If it broke the skin, it could possibly be infected. It may just be bruised pretty bad. I think it takes a little longer then 2 days for it to get infected but make sure you wash the area really good with anti-bacterial soap several times a day and keep an eye on it. This reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie "A Christmas Story"....."You'll shoot your eye out with that thing!"

Bad bruises often turn weird colours like purple and green as they're healing. The only way it could have gotten infected is if the skin was broken. If you're concerned about it, see a doctor.

Soak in a clean bathtub for awhile and have someone apply bacitracin (neosporin) on it when you get out, if you can't reach it. As soon as you can, schedule an appointment with your primary care provider. They may put you on an antibiotic or tell you to continue the ointment. Either way, soak it and use the ointment until then.

Is it green paint?
Try Ice then heat and take aspirin for the inflamation.
If it persists for more than 4 days go to the doctor.

Unless you broke the skin I doubt it's infected. Sounds as if you have one NASTY bruise. Apply ice and take some ibuprofen. If it continues to cause you problems or if your really concerned I would contact your doctor. Good Luck!

I think it's paint, go see a doctor. But before you do, ask someone to wipe the area with terpentine.
